The theology of generosity
Sundays // November 1-22, 2026
Money is something we all deal with...but it's not always something we're comfortable talking about, especially in church. Yet Jesus spoke frequently about money, possessions, and generosity because He understood something important: What we do with our treasure has a direct connection to the condition and direction of our hearts.
In Matthew 6:21, Jesus teaches that wherever our treasure is, our hearts will be also. In other words, generosity isn't simply a financial decision...it's a spiritual one.
Throughout this four-week teaching series, we're going to explore what the Bible actually teaches about wealth, stewardship, tithing, and sacrificial giving. We'll discover the generous heart of God, learn what it means to manage the resources He's entrusted to us, and examine how our financial decisions reveal our priorities and shape our relationship with Him.
We'll also address practical questions about tithing, the difference between tithes and offerings, and what it looks like to develop a lifestyle of generosity that goes beyond simply giving a percentage.
Because ultimately, this series isn't just about what we do with our money...it's about what God wants to do in our hearts.
Whether you've been following Jesus for decades or you're just beginning to explore faith, our hope is that you'll walk away with a clearer understanding of God's Word and a greater desire to trust Him with every area of your life...including your finances.
