Our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life and a variety of religious backgrounds. Businessmen, construction workers, school teachers, secretaries, sales people, college students, and truck drivers are among those who attend. Religious backgrounds include Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, Lutheran, Assemblies of God, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Catholic, Episcopalian, Church of God, and no church at all. Many of our members are “first-generation” Christians who came to faith in Christ through a ministry of our church. The thing we all share is a commitment to Jesus Christ and God’s Word. From infants through senior citizens, there is ministry for all ages. We invite you to visit and meet some of the finest people on earth right here at New Life Community Church.

BEGINNINGS…

In 1989 James and Debbie Moore obeyed the call of God to pioneer a new church. Twenty-three people attended the first worship service which was held in the basement of a bank in Gladstone, Missouri. The church continued meeting at the bank building for the next four years.

During that time the church grew, and so the search for a new location began.  In 1992, through an amazing series of miracles, the church was able to purchase acreage on Highway 169 in Kansas City North where they constructed a place of worship.   They moved into the 8,000-square-foot building in September of 1993.  Fifteen years later, another 12,000 square feet was added to the facility, providing new nurseries, a children’s center, and a large area for student ministry.

Pastor and Debbie are committed to completing their God-given assignment of establishing and pastoring this church until the Lord returns or He takes them by way of death. They sincerely hope others will join them in the most exciting action on planet Earth — making disciples of Jesus Christ!
